Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks, & Stadium Stocks also featured in Saturday’s fully loaded racing schedule!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (July 16, 2026) – One of Bowman Gray Stadium’s most highly anticipated nights of every year is back again for 2026. Truliant Night of Destruction will be headlined by a Monster Trucks show and The Madhouse’s second demolition derby of this season. All four regular weekly divisions will also be on track for one or two races, as championship crunch time is here. Coming off Double Points Night, a lot of moving and shaking across each division’s standings have title aspirations on the minds of a few select drivers. Week 13 promises to be family-friendly entertainment for all ages with a wide array of different vehicles all taking turns around the famed quarter-mile of asphalt.
This week lineup includes: 20 laps for the QRC HVAC & Refrigeration Street Stocks and one or two 15-lap features for the Q104.1 Stadium Stock Division depending on car count. The Brad’s Golf Cars Modifieds will host another Twin-25 Lap night, as well as two 20-lap dashes for the Law Offices of John Barrow Sportsman division.
Points battles remain alive and well in all four series, with a bit of separation seen after last week. Burt Myers remains the Modifieds’ man to beat, after finishing second to son Slate in week 12’s 100-lap race. Driver No. 1 is first in the standings by six points above longtime rival Tim Brown in the No. 83. Brown is still going for a 150th career pole position this week as well.
Law Offices of John Barrow Sportsman contenders are currently only four points apart, as Justin Taylor now leads Billy Gregg in their standings.
QRC HVAC & Refrigeration Street Stocks remain the biggest margin for any current title battle at Bowman Gray Stadium, where Brad Lewis is now 42 markers up on Christian Joyce. The No. 1 of Joyce was second last week, barely beating Lewis in third and hopes to stay ahead of the No. 16 once again.
Q104.1 Stadium Stocks’ championship battle is still wide open as well. Stephen Sanders and Chuck Wall both enter week 13 only 16 points apart, with Brad Micalowski another six points back. Sanders hopes to ride the momentum from last week’s runner-up result and eight-straight top-fives.
One lucky fan will also win a lawnmower giveaway courtesy of James River Equipment. Rules and how to enter this contest will be posted at every ticket gate on Saturday.
Weekly racing kicks off Saturday with the first green flag set for 8 p.m. ET. Parking is always free, with adult tickets $15 children tickets ages 6-11 are $2, and children 5 and under get in for free. Gates open at 6 p.m. Advance tickets are available now at www.bowmangrayracing.com.
