Bowman Gray Stadium Racing Announces 2008 Schedule.  
60th season begins for NASCAR’s longest running weekly race track.  
(Bowman Gray Stadium, Winston-Salem, NC) 17 action-packed nights of racing and special added attractions are scheduled for the 2008 season at Bowman Gray Stadium, the 60th year for the legendary track. 
  This season will feature all the exciting events that drew crowds of thousands last year, including the Advance Auto Parts Night on Friday, August 1, where fans are able to gain admission with a $1.99 ticket purchased at participating Advance Auto Parts stores. On June 28, a new promotion from Savage Energy Drink will allow fans to purchase a ticket for $2 off normal adult admission with a Savage Energy Drink Bottle Cap. 
The Monster Truck car-crushing exhibition, NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour race, Demolition Derbies, Chain Races, as well as races for the Stadium Stock, Street Stock, Sportsman, and – of course- the Modified Divisions will be more than enough reasons to come out to the Stadium this year. New to the Stadium this year will be a special treat for the fans: a parachute jump by the Green Berets on June 28. 
Returning Title Sponsors include Tucson, Carolina Wood Floors, USG, Whelen, Baity’s Discount Tire Sales, Craftsman, Advance Auto Parts, The Winston-Salem Journal, and Carolina Farm Credit. New to the list of Title Sponsors for 2008 are WSSU Motorsports, Savage Energy Drink, Farm Bureau Insurance, and R.A.U.D. (Racers Against Underage Drinking). 
The season starts on Saturday, April 26 with the Tucson 200 - with Qualifying for the Tucson 200 taking place on Friday night, April 25 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

April 26 - Tucson 200 (200-lap Modified race); 40-lap Sportsman race. Fans’ prize: $500 cash from DMC Auto Exchange.  
May 3 - WSSU Motorsports $1 Ladies’ Night; Demolition Derby. Fans’ prizes: $500 in Hanes Mall Gift Cards.  
May 10 - Carolina Wood Floors 100 (100-lap Modified race). Fans’ prizes: Four $200 scanner packages from RH2way.com.  
May 17 - USG Modified 50 presented by 100.3 The Buzzard; 50-lap Street Stock race; Chain Race (two-car teams chained together).  
May 24 - Whelen 100 presented by 94.5 La Preciosa (100-lap Modified race); $1 Ladies’ Night. Fans’ prizes: Two Motorola Razr Phones with 3 months free service from Cricket.  
May 31 - Baity’s Discount Tire Sales Sportsman 100; Chain Race; double-point awards in all divisions. Fans’ prizes: $250 gift certificate from Morris Firearms and $250 gift certificate from Sportsman's Lodge.  
June 7 - Craftsman Stadium Stock 50. Southeast Mini Cup Race.  
June 14 - Tucson 100 (100-lap Modified race); $1 Ladies’ Night; Demolition Derby. Fans’ prize: $1000 jewelry shopping spree from Davie Jewelers.  
June 21 - Whelen Night; Twin 25-lap Modified races; Chain Race.  
June 28 - Savage Energy Drink Night; 60-lap Sportsman race. $2 off Adult Admission with Savage Energy Drink Bottle Cap. Green Beret Parachute Team.  
July 5 - Available as rain date.  
July 12 - Farm Bureau Insurance 100 (100-lap Modified race); $1 Ladies’ Night; double-point awards in all divisions. Fans’ prize: Craftsman YS4500 20-horsepower yard tractor from Sears.  
July 19 - R.A.U.D. Night of Destruction presented by ABC45; Monster Truck car-crushing; Demolition Derby. Fans’ prize: $600 certificate for Michelin tires from Baity’s Discount Tire Sales.  
July 26 - Twin 25-lap Modified races; $1 Ladies’ Night; Chain Race.  
August 1 - Advance Auto Parts Night presented by 104.1 WTQR; NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour qualifying, 50-lap Modified race, Legends, Bandoleros and Classic Modified races.  
August 2 - Advance Auto Parts 199 presented by 104.1 WTQR (199-lap NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour race); 40-lap Sportsman race.  
August 9 - Winston-Salem Journal $1 Ladies’ Night; Demolition Derby. Fans’ prize: $500 cash from the Winston-Salem Journal.  
August 16 - Carolina Farm Credit 150 (150-lap Modified race); 40-lap Sportsman race; double-point awards in all divisions.  
August 23 - Available as rain date.
